The AIA Great European Carnival returned to Hong Kong for its third year and bringing with it its traditional carnival favourites along with new and exciting attractions.
The carnival runs for 59 days starting in mid-December and through into Chinese New Year, it spans over 5000sq Ft along the Hong Kong Harbour Front and attracts over 1 Million Visitors!
ipulse was chosen as the lead branding agency and set about bringing a new look of maturity and professionalism to the event through its identity. The main creative visual captures the experience of the rides and lights moving with the sound of laughter swirling through the Hong Kong skyline. Red & Gold tones visually represent the festive time of year of Christmas but more importantly the Chinese Lunar festivities and helping grow a local and Mainland Chinese audience to the event.
A Second family main creative was also used to appeal to the daytime fun activities for families and appeared with more imagery added and a contrasting sky blue layers. Both visuals were adapted by our team to appear across Trams, Taxis, Billboards / Press Advertisements and many more traditional medias. We also adapted for Digital Advertising campaigns that ran across Hong Kong and China using the WeChat & Weibo platforms.
Onsite branding for all sponsors banners and rides and activations as well as ticket booths and merchandise zones were all handled by the team at ipulse.
