Artisan Council created a digital marketing campaign that would further cement their client, belif, brand as the authority in K-beauty and hydration by educating consumers through a mobile only microsite, called
the K-beauty Glossary Challenge, that included the following:
● Fun interactive video content
● Product trial/sampling
● Gifting
● Gamification
The campaign site was created with Instagram’s UI and UX in mind so users who landed on the site didn’t feel disconjointed when they exited instagram (Instagram was the #2 campaign traffic driver). The microsite collected the user’s name and email upon sign up and then guided users to watch 3
K-beauty Glossary videos (see example videos below) and answer a multiple choice question after watching each video for their chance to claim samples. If the user received 2/3 questions correct they could claim 1 of 3 samples and for those who received 3/3 questions correct they could claim 2 of 3 samples. After selecting their samples, users entered their mailing address and had the option
to send the quiz to a friend to be entered into a sweeps to win $250 worth of product.
The campaign was a huge success with key stats including:
● Over 45,000 email addresses acquired in 10 days
● The campaign had Return on Investment valued over a $1,000,000
● The client saw a ~20% lift in product sales during the campaign.
