Mohawk customers were frustrated after browsing products on the Mohawk website and going to a retailer to make a purchase, only to find out the retailer didn’t carry that specific product. There was no way to search availability “near me” on the Mohawk Flooring website, so customers were unaware that their choice wasn’t available until the end of the sales cycle. The result was a poor customer experience and lost sales.
The new site, which features product views using rendered room scenes and color swatches, allows customers to search Mohawk’s catalog by zip code to see which of the products are sold nearby. We enabled this seamless purchase path by creating a data bridge that combines every in-stock item and option with geolocation information to ease product distribution to customers.
